Petition Opposes Fossil Fuel Divestiture

A petition backed by 12,000 signatures and five unions that represent public-sector workers opposes the divestiture of public pension funds from fossil fuels.

The petition addressed to Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill de Blasio is backed by the United Neighbors of New York, a group that includes labor organizations such as Subway Surface Supervisors Association; the Uniformed Fire Alarm Dispatchers Benevolent Association; the Nassau County Correction Officers Benevolent Association, and the Police Conference of New York.
